Vanilla Birthday Cake Doughnuts

Fun and festive Gluten-Free Vanilla Cake Donuts that are soft, fluffy, bursting with vanilla, and smothered in a sweet glaze. Enjoy these gluten-free vanilla donuts plain or top them with sprinkles for an extra colorful treat.

Fluffy, vanilla donut ingredients:

  • 200g flour
  • 120g sugar
  • 110g cream cheese
  • 60ml milk (I use soymilk)
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 2tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch of salt


Strawberry cheesecake frosting ingredients:

  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 40g cream cheese
  • 1.5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla paste)
  • 1 teaspoon natural Strawberry Flavor 


Fluffy vanilla donut instructions:

  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
  • Add sugar to eggs and beat for 2 minutes until creamy
  • Add cream cheese and vanilla extract and beat until combined
  • Gradually (3 tablespoons at a time), add flour and mix.  Don't overmix the flour.  Alternate with milk, as consistency becomes thicker.
  • Pour batter into pastry bag and fill donut mold.
  • Bake for 12 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celcius.


Strawberry cheesecake frosting:

  • Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract (or paste), and strawberry oil. Mix until creamy.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of milk.  Add another 1/2 tablespoon to get more fluid consistency.
